Operation ECGC-12 SITREP #1

Current Position:
Black Chevy Equinox, Driver Side, Back Seat.
Mile Marker 302, Interstate 81
Near Winchester, VA

Status:
Fuel: 64 lbs
Rations: 1 Pack Pistachios, 1/2 Box TastyKake Mini Chocolate Donuts, 1/4 Cup Granulated Rhubarb.
Hyrdration: 1 Pink Bottle H2O. 2x 1/2 Arnold Palmer Beverage.
Navigation: 5.1 Hours Out.
Systems: Nominal

Narrative:
After a sketchy detour through the backwoods of WVa, we found our way to 522, sprinted out to I81, and we are on the open road. Thank god. For a second I was imagining what the side of Toom's car would sound like if it assumed the role that was currently being occupied by the tires. To my immediate right is RELLIK NISSASA. He is rendering electronic music live, via the in car audio system. Tim is seated in front of him. He is yelling loud, mainly as a result of him wearing a pair of large ear muff headphones to drown out the crazy [musical] sounds being generated from the backseat. Tooms is seated in the drivers chair; it would appear he is currently taking a nap.

We will continue on this journey at a high rate of speed. Will update if any change in conditions or status. Pigeon Two Six clear.

The rise from the depths of the earth.

We the people,
Of this great company of Cynergy Interactive,
Offer our deepest apologies for the lack of update provided to you,
The Great Constituents of the Internets.

We last posted on July 25th of last year. Some of you may think that's because we gave up. We gave in. We fell to the system.

Come on. This is Cynergy. We aren't that weak. There is an explanation for this vast length of silence, and I am here to provide you that explanation. Hold on to your Potatoes, ladies.

It all goes back to that last blog post. It was a hot day, very hot. We were in the office, muddling away at the plastic nuggets in front of our displays. Then the phone rang with an offer we could not refuse. This mysterious man's voice was deep, his breath heavy, and his beard full. At least it sounded full... turns out it wasn't, but we found that out much later.

Anyways, we accepted the offer, and within 20 minutes we were in the back of an Antonov, heading for our new destination where we would make games that could finally conquer the world. Vladivostok, Russia. We shuffled into the shack that would come to be known as Синергия Интерактивная. Isolation led to increased productivity. Increased productivity led to more effective world conquering strategy. We drew close to our goal. We could feel it. That would all change.

One day, Team Cynergy was out of mind powers. We needed inspiration. And to do this, we went for a stroll through the Siberian Countryside in search of this inspiration.

Unfortunately, we left Tooms in charge of navigation, and we ended up in North Korea. We were detained, beaten, tortured, and locked up in a dark abyss. It appeared to be the end of Team Cynergy.

Until one day...... utilizing bacon and mind powers, we hatched a brilliant plan.

We did not succeed at world domination, but we made it out. Big Egg found a sweet souvenir... some sort of glowing spherical device. Probably some weird Korean children's toy. We also took care of one of our "competitors" that day. It was December 17th, 2011. Coincidence? I think not.

It then took three months to drift across the Pacific Ocean. We will get to that story later.

But we are back, and ready to take on the world. Again.

Pigeons are cooling.

The Pigeons are glad that the heat-wave is over. Their casualty count has not yet been released.

ECGC!

This week is the East Coast Game Conference and we will be there in full force. For the third year in a row, the ECGC has provided a "mini GDC" atmosphere for the other side of the country. We will document our adventures both on and off the conference floor and post them here with no inhibitions. Plan for mischief or at the very least a drunken rant or two. Keep track of the twitter feed, pics, and videos.

New Horizons for Old Friends

SPINNR was the first game produced by our team. Sure, its a bit rough but even by our current standards its still FUN. When it was released over a year ago, some review sites gave it quite a favorable outlook, especially compared to the lineup of other games released during that week. While it was not the financial boon we hoped it would be, it was not a COMPLETE dud either. In retrospect, the marketplace chosen for our freshman title just did not have the space for a quirky multiplayer puzzler. We moved on and began work on other projects, but all the while we wondered "what if". Now, one year later we are no longer wondering. SPINNR is being massaged and reworked for a new platform. Thats all I am currently at liberty to say, but if the first SPINNR (internally dubbed indie, well..duh) had a warm welcome, the new SPINNR is coming in fast and hot. Burning actually. Its on fire. And its got ninjas. Dinosaur ninjas. The dinosaur ninjas are on fire too.
